TOPEKA – IBSA, Inc., a nonprofit agency based in Topeka, will be hosting a presentation about a new opportunity for nonprofits and small startup and existing businesses. The "i SHOP to GIVE" initiative will be presented at the Topeka/Shawnee County Public Library on Friday, Oct. 16 at 6:00pm; and on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 9:00am. Attendance is free.
i SHOP to GIVE helps nonprofit agencies raise funds by leveraging their connection with existing businesses or startups via the Internet. Through an innovative 'Webstore', business owners obtain increased exposure to promote and sell their goods or services to a wide-range of online shoppers that allow a percentage of their purchases to go to the nonprofit organization of their choice. Lora Bitting, Regional Leader and Doris Williams, Resource Representative for i SHOP to GIVE will be the guest speakers on both days and will also be available to meet with interested nonprofits and vendors one-on-one.
