Teen Life Skills Program

The Miss Independent / Mr. On Point Life Skillz equips teens ages 14-19 for independent living and lifelong success. Teens will learn basic life skills such as how to

  • get a job
  • change a flat tire,
  • buy a car, get a job,
  • make a budget, and
  • cook a meal

In addition, youth will spend one hour every day volunteering at a community service agency. Lunch is provided.

The Miss Independent / Mr. On Point Life Skillz program takes place Thursday, June 29 – Friday, July 8, 2011, except on Monday, July 4th. The time is from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. The program is hosted by the Highland Crest Community Church located at 3225 SE Adams Street, Topeka, KS 66605.

It’s not too late for parents to register and enroll their teens. The attached registration form must be completed, signed by parent / adult guardian, and brought when teens arrive at the program site.
