Sign Up Now for Entrepreneurship Events at Kauffman Next Week

There’s still time for Kansas City entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship organizations to register to attend two events at the Kauffman Foundation next week:

Wednesday, Feb. 26
6-8 p.m.

Kauffman Labs
4801 Rockhill Road, Kansas City, Mo. 64110

Still mourning the demise of your last great idea? Grieve with a group! Join local entrepreneurs for Kauffman’s first Fail Night, a somber, supportive, and celebratory meeting to talk about business failures (or "pivots" if you’re P.C.), share lessons learned, and gain valuable insights to apply to your future entrepreneurial pursuits.

Light refreshments and lots of Kleenex will be provided.

RSVP by Monday, Feb. 24

Thursday, Feb. 27
7:30 a.m.-noon

Kauffman Foundation Conference Center
Brookside Room
4801 Rockhill Road, Kansas City, Mo. 64110

Professor Barton Hamilton of the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis will lead the Nudging Entrepreneurship discussion and examine the implications of behavioral economics research for the success of new ventures and products. Hamilton, a leading scholar in entrepreneurship, will share how behavioral economics is shedding new light on customer behavior and providing tools for entrepreneurs to generate business ideas and evaluate investment opportunities.

Breakfast and an optional box lunch are provided. A panel of Kansas City entrepreneurs — Danny O’Neill, Davyeon Ross, Landon Young, and Kauffman research director Robert Strom — will also present at the event.
