Preparing preschool-aged youth: Funding Opportunity

Reminder that the proposals are due next week.

I also wanted to clarify a few points that the range we are looking at is anywhere between $2,500 to $7,000 for funding given out to each organization. We have $7,000 to give to one to three different organizations.

Also, if you happened to go over the 5 page limit we have requested that is totally acceptable. If you feel that it is viable information, please do not hesitate to add it to the proposal. Also, feel free to attach any information that you wish to include that we may not have requested.

I have attached a request for proposal document to this email. Please look over this document and have applications returned to me by November 1st, 2014

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you for your time, I hope to hear from all you soon.

Washburn University LEAD Team

Building One R.A.

The Joe and Janet Aleshire Venture Grant Program student leadership team wants to make a difference in children’s lives by positively motivating, educating, and leading through programs that will benefit children in low income families. We want to accomplish this by focusing on preparing preschool-aged youth with the skills needed to enter kindergarten.

B. About the Program

1. The purpose of the Joe and Janet Aleshire Venture Grant Program, hereinafter called Program, is to acquaint students at Washburn University with philanthropic opportunities and their future civic responsibilities while providing funding to stimulate the initiative of effective non-profit program development that addresses early childhood development (prenatal care to six years of age).
