This two-part workshop will cover the basics of grant writing and give you the opportunity to write a proposal and have it reviewed and discussed during the second session.

You will learn how to distinguish your grant proposal from others, basic "dos" and "don’ts," common grant writing components, evaluation techniques and general tips for writing better, more successful grants.

Instructor LaDene Morton has been providing technical and project management services to Kansas City nonprofits and public sector agencies for the past 30 years. Morton has helped prepare dozens of successful grant and bid proposals. She earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Kansas and is a published author and member of Kansas City’s Writer’s Place.
