KMOM is an annual two-day free dental clinic. It’s location varies each year to a different location in the state; this year it’s in Manhattan on January 27 & 28.
It is free with no requirements: no income requirement, no residential requirement, no insurance requirement and no age limit.
It’s absolutely free and is first-come-first-served, so no appointments are needed or accepted.
It will open around 5:00 each
morning and will continue to admit people until they have reached their daily limit, which is usually somewhere around 1000 people.
The free clinic offers x-rays, cleanings, fillings, and extractions. They will have some specialists on site who can perform some limited services other than the
I’ve volunteered for this in the past. Oftentimes, I’ve seen entire families come for much needed dental services.
One thing that has really impressed me is the kindness and efficiency of the professional volunteers, including dentists, dental hygienists, etc.
